Surfside Beach Family Festival

On October 1st, 10 AM – 2 PM, the Town of Surfside Beach will be hosting the annual Surfside Beach Family Festival on Surfside Drive. This one-day event will occur rain or shine, bringing thousands of families together for good food, fun, and activities for everyone to enjoy. The festival features art and craft vendors, festival food booths and trucks, activities for children, and two stages with live music. Admission is free, and public parking is available at the lots at Surfside Drive and Yaupon Drive South, and Surfside Drive and Pinewood Drive North; street parking is allowed only on the side of the road.

Myrtle Beach Fall Jerk Fest

On October 2nd, 12 PM – 10 PM, the Fall Jerk Fest will be held on Broadway Street, immersing guests in Jamaica’s African and Taino cultures. Enjoy savory, sweet, fragrant, and flavorful jerky-style cuisine at this lively celebration. Guests over the age of 21 can also experience the Wine Walk, which features six unique wines. There will also be retail vendors and live entertainment for the whole family. Wristbands are required for entry and are $20 each.

17th Annual Little River Shrimpfest

This beloved rain or shine event occurs October 8-9th from 9 AM – 5 PM on the Historic Little River Waterfront. Guests can enjoy two stages of live music, street performers, and over 100 art, craft, business, and community vendors. Fresh seafood is served by local waterfront restaurants, and festival food favorites can be found at a variety of booths. Admission is $5 per adult, and free for children 12 and under.

6th Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival

This year’s Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival will be held October 14-16th, on historic Carver Street in downtown Myrtle Beach. This festival’s mission is to celebrate jazz, culture, community, and individuals from all walks of life to enrich the Grand Strand. Smooth, soulful, and edgy regional and local jazz artists will be gracing the stages for all guests to enjoy. Admission is free (bring your lawn chairs!), but VIP tickets are available.

Art in the Park

Art in the Park is an artist-run festival that occurs three weekends a year in Myrtle Beach. This fall, guests can choose to attend either October 8-9th or November 12-13th in Valor Market at the Market Common. This festival is hosted by the Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild, which is the oldest art guild in the area. Featuring artists from all over the country working in many different mediums, there is a unique art piece for everyone’s taste! Admission is free, and the venue is child and pet friendly.

Family Fall Fest

Another event in the Market Common is the second annual Family Fall Fest, which is held on October 15th, 11 AM – 2 PM on Deville Street. This family-friendly event includes hayrides, pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making, face painting, balloon art, and a variety of delicious fall treats and drinks. Activities are free, but will only occur while supplies last!

Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam

This action-packed weekend is held October 28-30th, from 11 AM – 5 PM on North Kings Highway between 23rd and 27th Avenue North. The three-day festival features all things Jeep and allows owners and enthusiasts to connect and enjoy an obstacle course, car show, and beach crawl. General admission is $10 per passenger/spectator. Daily passes are available at the event for $50, which includes parking, obstacle course entry, an admission wristband, and an event t-shirt.
